Abstract visualization of real-time power dispatch signals across a grid network
Grid Dispatch

Real-time power routing for industrial sites and grid operators.

The Dispatch Engine reads ISO market signals in under 800 milliseconds and decides where geothermal output goes, without waiting for human operators.

<800ms Signal-to-dispatch latency
3 ISOs CAISO, PJM, WECC integrated
Zero Manual operator steps at dispatch
Architecture

Four signal inputs. One dispatch decision.

The Dispatch Engine processes four real-time data streams simultaneously. No single signal is sufficient; the decision logic weighs all four against the current formation thermal headroom before committing an output routing decision.

1
Formation Temperature Downhole sensor array reporting real-time wellbore temperature at extraction depth
2
Grid Price Signal Real-time locational marginal price from the connected ISO, updated every 5 minutes
3
Site Demand Facility SCADA telemetry reporting current load and any scheduled ramp events
4
Thermal Headroom Available thermal capacity above current extraction, bounds maximum dispatchable output
Market integration

Live ISO market signal integration

We integrate with the three largest ISO markets covering the Western US industrial corridor.

CAISO

California Independent System Operator. Real-time locational marginal pricing, 5-minute intervals.

PJM

PJM Interconnection. Day-ahead and real-time market signals for eastern corridor industrial sites.

WECC

Western Electricity Coordinating Council. Basin and Range region transmission and pricing signals.

Use case

Manufacturing ramp event: demand spike without utility curtailment

A Utah industrial minerals processing facility running two continuous kilns experiences an unscheduled third kiln startup. The site's utility connection cannot absorb the additional 800 kW without curtailing another load. The Dispatch Engine detects the demand ramp via SCADA telemetry, increases extraction from the paired wellbore, and routes the additional output to the site within two dispatch cycles, avoiding curtailment. Grid price that day did not justify exporting anyway. The decision required no human operator action.

1.6s Total SCADA-to-dispatch response time
0 Operator interventions required
800 kW Additional load absorbed without curtailment
